Little Gorjuss Things

A busy day here, well.. it was for Mr G, I got to draw, draw, draw !  Preparing as much as I can for the HK exhib, not easy when I cant sit up for long still !!!

I also finished this brand new ink drawing ‘With A Heavy Heart’ .. already reserved for a new home, she’ll be coloured up in Photoshop and available as a print soon…

You can expect some little originals, prints and other gorjuss goodies at the exhib, and I’ll be putting more photos up here soon, but here’s a little scrapbook with originals too!

Hello my lovelies, a relaxing time still being had by me as I am just too exhausted to do anything else but rest most of the time, but I have managed to colour two of my sketches from my hospital sketchbook.. more of these pages will be up in the Traditional Gallery soon for you to see!

Hope you like them!!  I’m just so happy to be painting again!! I cant tell you how much panting makes me happy, and I’ve missed it so much !

Here’s a peek at the flyer for the solo show in Hong Kong taking place this year!  We’re excited at putting together some lovely gorjuss goodies for this show.  It will be small but perfectly formed as we run with the ‘little black heart’ theme, and carry it through products including some small ltd edition prints and little framed originals, some other gorjuss products may make an appearance too ( button packs, pocket mirrors etc)

Those of you who follow our tweets ( you can catch up with these on the right of the blog, if you dont have a twitter account - they update in real time!) may recognise the lovely brown kraft paper as Suzannes hospital sketch book, she designed this lovely girl while she was still in Hospital !  She has loads more girls coming in this style too!

Well those of you who follow our twitter feed will have endured the difficult week we have had.

Suzanne is NOW home, she was home last night and has not struggled with any ill symptoms so although we are constantly worrying, things are going very smoothly for us.

Expect more blogs and updates over the coming week as we attempt to get up to speed and get the gorjuss mobile moving.

Suzanne is still very much on strict bed rest orders and I shall be ensuring that she follows these rules till she reaches full health..

So once again thank you for all your support and kind words over the last 3 months of hospital woes…

Well I have been soo reluctant to say anything about Suzy and her current health for fear of it turning bad..
But I strongly feel that we are about to see the back of this extremely difficult time.

Suzanne has been kept on Antibiotics for the last 4 weeks now, give or take a day, and is currently looking and feeling better than before. So the Doctor has decided that when this course runs out, he would like her to come home, and take a short course of antibiotic pills. After a week he wants her to pop back in for a little check up.

So Tuesday/Wednesday is the likeliest return date, and frankly I am so happy that this will be the end of the difficult hospital stay, we do know that there are many visits to go yet, but the long stay and pain and misery is now over.

The doctors and nurses in the hospital have been extremely good and caring (with a few exceptions) and I’d like to take this chance to thank the staff and nurses at the hospital for their caring attitudes and professional manner.
I do hope we don’t ever need to have such an extended stay there or in any other hospital again… but we couldn’t have chosen a better ward to be in.

Thank you all for your patience and caring words, we hope to bring you a lot of new girls to make your 2010 special..

Now on to some news from the hospital..

Suzanne is still on a very intensive course of anti-biotics that are making her feel quite ill, as yet they have not identified where the infection is. She has had many painful and unpleasent tests performed and we all hope that tomorrow will bring the answer and help the doctors return Suzanne to full health in the quickest time possible.
All the Dr’s and Nurses at the hospital are so sad to see her still there…
