NEW RELEASE – Alice Is Wonderful ScrapKit.

It’s been a long while since we released a Scrapkit but it’s been worth the wait, here is, our very first, cute and whimsical ALICE IS WONDERFUL kit !!! In the earliest kits there werent papers but seamless tilable patterns for you to fill your own papers up with ! This new kit has 15 PAPERs, at 900 px x 900 px, 72 dpi, as they are for digital scrapbooking, or tagging only!

Please remember we’re starving artists, especially now poor Suzanne is suffering so much right now, please dont share these kits, sharing kits really does just deny us a few bucks it costs to buy it!! If you like it, pay for it, please ) ( we might come back in a few days rattling tin cans for your spare change too, watch out!! ) )

Guest Giveaway Results & A Little Surprise

Hello everyone, those who joined us in the Artist Chat last night knew that there was something special being released tonight, and here it is, drumroll please !

My Little Vampire

A new gorjuss Vampire, I know how much you all love Vamps and here is one for you, available as a print now! And what about TUBES I hear you ask?

The gorjuss Vampire Bundle , contains the Vampire girl as an individual tube ( Tube plus Image), and a super set of 4 Quick Tags, all suitably Vampire themed too ! They are only available as this special bundle so grab them quick )

The actual size isnt accurate on the preview as I had to make the preview half the size of the original HUGE previews I normally supply you with ! The Quick Tags are a big 750 pixels square, much to big to use as a tag, so remember to resize down for your groups, but a great size to work with so you can see all your details )

What we’re doing THIS weekend!

Hello everyone, did you catch the gorjuss packs on QVC yesterday??.. wow they sold fast, and before their segment was due to air too!! So they really didnt get the big feature they were planning due to you lovely lot snapping them all up so fast, but hopefully they will be back at QVC soon, we’ll keep you update on this right here on the gorjuss blog ) We do want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who tuned in and of course, all those who bought a pack!! THANK YOU !!

MEET THE ARTIST – CHAT NIGHT

We dont do artist chat nights often but we ALWAYS do one for the JustGorjus groups Birthday celebrations! We hope you’ll join us, and if you do, sometimes it can help if you write down some questions you’ve always wanted to ask, before the chat starts! Please log in and check you can access the chatroom before it starts, and its also best to GET THERE EARLY as it can get crowded, and once it gets crowded it can be difficult for some people to gain access, we are sorry about this but there’s nothing we can do, other than to tell you to GET THERE EARLY! )

**Please note I’ll do my best to type to you for as long as I can but bare in mind I’m still in a lot of pain, I may need Mr G to type for me at stages but I WILL be listening to what you guys are typing!

ART IN THE PARK – GLASGOW

We love exhibitions and we love local ones too, this is more of an event than an exhibition but there will be LOTS of Art in the spectacular Victorian Glasshouses in the Queens Park, in the Southside of Glasgow. It’s a beautiful venue and one we jumped at the chance to take part in,Art In The Park runs ALL weekend, THIS weekend ( 21 - 23rd May). There’s aFREE bus service from George Sq. and plenty for the kids to do and see, including magic & puppet shows and loads of workshops, including theatre, all sorts of amazing styles of dance, story telling and Stalls full of craft and foods. Sounds like a great weekend right?.. I know I’m Sending Mr G and the gorjuss-ettes to have some fun, and of course grab some great photos to show all you non Glasgow dwellers, the Glasshouses are really something special )

Hello Guest Giveaway lovely! Please tell us a little bit about you , who are you, where you’re from!??
My name is Marissa and I live in New Jersey. I love living close to New York City, and not too far from the ocean.

Tell us about what you make & your inspiration?
I make handcrafted jewelry. I began a few years ago and my love for jewelry making just grows and grows. It is a wonderful creative outlet, and being able to share my creations with others is the real prize. I try to be inspired by soft and simple designs, and I like the bohemian look. I love layered necklaces. Sometimes I am all over the place and then I have to remind myself that my shop should look, at least to some extent, like a collection!

What is your favourite item to make/sell ?
I absolutely adore working on custom items. Just ask, chances are I’d be happy to make it! Oh and I love to search for cool vintage pieces to reconstruct into jewelry. I think something old combined with something new is my favorite style.

• Do you have any favourite Etsy items you’ve bought?
The sea salt bars from magichands.etsy.com..long lasting, excellent soaps.
The “Smiling Buddha Soy Candle” from MrsTattooedGeek.etsy.com..this is the most amazing scented candle, very relaxing. The “AMOR VINCIT OMNIA” bowl from palomasnest.etsy.com. (LOVE conquers all!!) And of course my beautiful banner, which I love so so much, from SeaDreamStudio.etsy.com

• Whats the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Treat others the way you want to be treated. The golden rule! You are no better than anyone else, and no one is better than you. My parents must have said this to me a million times growing up, and I am thankful it made me into who I am today.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for being featured here! Wishing you all a beautiful and happy summer!!! Full of sunshine.
