Hello my lovelies ! How are you all?? I’ve had such a busy week, with hospital check ups and such, it really takes it outta me, BUT, now I am back home now phew!  I love Fridays, I get so excited to see the new Guest here on the blog, I hope you are enjoying it too !

We’ve had such trouble with our Internet Providers, as many of you have heard via Tweets etc, SO we decided to move, yes we had to GIVE UP with them, but now that we have told them we’re moving, they cut us off !  We have about 5 more days before we start with our new ISP, but until then, PLEASE send any URGENT emails to gorjuss [at ] gorjuss.co.uk – All other email addresses are affected, if sent to these, it MAY not be answered straight away !! I’ve just received a BIG box back form the Hong Kong Exhibition ( Thanks Shizue!) andamongst some other goodies she sent me,  I have TWO little Originals back, that I think you will just LOVE !  I dont make a habit of selling originals so close together, but I just couldnt wait to let you guys have these!!

The Red Ribbon and The Red Lace are sweet little ink drawings, they measure 5″ x 4″ .   They are part of the Mon Petit Coeur Noir Exhibition, and They are in the Shop now ( I’ve put them in Etsy too incase you’d prefer to shop there!)

My name is Kelly and I live in Knoxville, TN. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and I was always creating. As a child I use to make my own clothes for my dolls and occasionally would make a skirt or shirt for myself as well. My jewelry design is my part time job (hopefully full time down the road), my current and life long full time job is I am a stay at home mommy to 5 fantastic kiddos. I love creating my jewelry but I really love taking care of my 3 boys and 2 girls.

Tell us about what you make & your inspiration?
I create and design fun and beautiful jewelry. My inspiration comes from everything around me. I am inspired by color combos that I see out and about in my daily life. Whether it be flowers in the garden or a Gideon at the zoo, I love to take pictures and look at them when I am home and try to design a new piece of jewelry. Other times I will just sit and look at my many supplies and just start to piece items together. Inspiration is all around me and I am constantly thinking, ‘how can I turn that into a new piece?’

What is your favourite item to make/sell ?
Earrings, I love to create new earrings. It is also my favorite to wear. Earrings are so diverse and can be dressed up or down depending on what you wear. They are just so much fun to make and I truly believe one can not have too many pairs of earrings.

Do you have any favourite Etsy items you’ve bought?
Yes, I do. I purchased a print from etsy seller amandakindregan. The reason I love the print is it is of 5 little elephants walking in a line holding onto the tail of the elephant in front of them. It reminds me of my 5 kids and that is why I adore it. I have made several purchases that I love on etsy but that one is the most special to me.

Do you have any other websites people can find you?
At the moment I only sell on Etsy but I do not know what the future will hold for GeniusJewels.

Whats the best advice you’ve ever been given?
To be patient when selling. Establishing a customer base takes time and it also takes time for customers to find you. Building a business is not over night and to be successful you really need passion, determination and a lot of patience.

Anything else you’d like to say?
Thank you to all my fabulous customers. The ones who have bought and the ones who have yet to find me. Also thank you to Suzanne for this wonderful opportunity!
